Treasurer II

The Treasurer II is an essential part of the financial backbone of the Madison Heights PTO. Working closely with the Treasurer I, this role helps keep our finances organized, accurate, and running smoothly so that the PTO can focus on what matters most — supporting our students, teachers, and school community.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Treasurer I in managing day-to-day financial operations for the PTO. Process reimbursement requests in a timely and organized manner. Assist with grant tracking, dress down donations, and reporting. Maintain accurate records throughout the school year. Help prepare financial reports and updates for PTO board meetings. Support the management of PTO accounts and tools such as QuickBooks. Collaborate with committee chairs and event leads to ensure budgets are followed and expenses are documented properly.

Who Should Apply:

  • This role is a great fit for someone who loves numbers, is highly organized, and gets satisfaction from keeping things running behind the scenes. A love of Excel or Google Sheets is a must — bonus points if you have experience with QuickBooks or financial record keeping. No formal accounting degree required, just attention to detail, reliability, and a genuine desire to support your school community in a meaningful way.

Community Events Co-Chairs

The Community Events Co-Chairs are the heart of the fun at Madison Heights Elementary. This is a shared role — grab a buddy and tackle it together! Co-Chairs work as a team to plan, coordinate, and execute the community events that bring our school families together throughout the year and make Heights feel like home.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead two Parents Night Out events, giving caregivers a chance to connect and unwind. Organize and run Bingo Night, Movie Night, and the Mi Corazón Dance. Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, supplies, volunteers, ticketing or RSVPs, and cleanup. Manage event budgets in collaboration with the PTO Treasurers. Gather feedback after each event to help improve future programming. Bring energy, creativity, and community spirit to everything you plan.

Who Should Apply:

This role is perfect for two friends, neighbors, or fellow school parents who love bringing people together and are not afraid to have a little fun along the way. If you have a passion for creating memorable experiences and want to be at the center of what makes Heights such a special community, we want to hear from you. Event planning experience is a bonus but absolutely not required — enthusiasm and teamwork are what matter most!

Responsibilities:

Attend PTO meetings and represent the interests and perspective of Spanish Immersion families. Share PTO updates, events, and opportunities with the Spanish Immersion community. Collaborate with Spanish Immersion teachers and staff to identify ways the PTO can support the program. Help promote Spanish Immersion events and milestones within the larger school community. Serve as a point of contact for Spanish Immersion families who have questions or ideas for the PTO.

Who Should Apply:

This role is ideal for a Spanish Immersion family who is passionate about the program and wants to help strengthen the connection between the immersion community and the PTO. No prior PTO experience is required — just enthusiasm and a desire to show up for your community.

Promote donation drives and exchange events to the school community in partnership with the PTO Communications and Social Media teams. Maintain an organized inventory of available uniform items. Coordinate drop-off and pick-up logistics with school administration. Ensure the exchange is welcoming, well-stocked, and easy for families to access.
